Just wanted to put something up celebrating the work of someone who had a fine 2021 campaign and someone whose name has apparently NEVER been mentioned on these pages, Isemaj. The talented and rangy Jamaican chanter (he has some VOCALS on him) from out of St. Catherine dropped a pair of outstanding tunes last year and, hopefully, set the stage for what will be an equally impressive offering in 2022 (you know what I want, but I'm not going to say it).
If you've never heard of the artist who, to my surprise has a history in the music dating back nearly thirty years now, allow me to introduce you to his work, courtesy of a STELLAR 2021 release for Let Us Inite Productions, called 'Injustice'.
BOOM! The piece would come later in the year and prior to that was another big tune, this one for Fabrikated ProjeX, the old school Dancehall vibed, 'Stop'.
And, looking back through his history, although he hasn't been terribly active, Isemaj has voiced for the likes of Fyah Stowne Records (big song named 'Beat Up Dem Gum' on the Chat Chat Riddim), Rootical Records, Rising Sun Records and others.
So definitely keep an ear out for Isemaj in 2022 and beyond... just thought I'd let you know.
