Video Drop 8: Ass

Kénédy [DeeJay Slam]

Yes this marks the third time that I’ve started this feature with the world’s greatest Zouk singer (to me), the fabulous Kénédy and she also represents my attempt at being REALLY mature, but really who even cares at this point? I’ve put them in this order (of when they first appeared), just so you can see Kénédy’s RIDICULOUSLY sexy progression . Beginning with ‘Cours Toujours’, you see that while certainly looking nice (and the video’s colour schemes are just outstanding), she looks like a better version of the bonafide cutie that she used to be, but between that and the second, ‘Entre Toi Et Moi’ . . . I mean . . . something happened. DAMN! That’s made clear IMMEDIATELY when we first see the starlet on her laptop in bed (most certainly checking AchisReggae.blogspot.com) and then everything changes. In this video she shows off the curves a bit as well and she just looks so nice. Not as good, arguably, as she does in ‘Enmé Mwen An Kreyol’, however. While THE biggest moment out of all three videos may’ve come in ‘Entre Toi Et Moi’, the most consistently beautiful we see Kénédy is in the third of the lot (and it’s also the best song from her album, by the way). The wardrobe is beautiful, she’s showing a little more skin, going backless in the water (at least I hope that’s her) and her FACE even looks better (somehow, someway). At this point it certainly should go without saying, but I’ll say it anyway, - Kénédy you are a very attractive human being.

'Turn Him On' by Ce’Cile & Danielle [Directed by Nordia Rose]

You could probably take quite a few videos of Achis Reggae favourite, Ce’Cile, and throw them on this list. So not that she needs it (see the video for ‘Hot Like Dat’, featuring the world’s luckiest car), but certainly having some help does play a role. In the video for ‘Turn Him On’, the “help” came in the form of the very sexy ‘DI’, Danielle, who goes two pieced and bubble-bathish to do her part which she does VERY well. I don’t actually remember the tune doing much damage and Danielle still isn’t as popular as you might think she would be (especially with looking like that) (and she is actually a very talented DJ), but I am simply a better human being for having seen Ce’Cile roll around in the sand, Danielle scrub it up in the bathtub and the dynamic duo doing a fire dance, aren’t you?

'Girls Gone Wild' by Lil Rick [Jay Will]

Don’t you just LOVE it when the video has the category “(RAW)” attached to it???
This song ‘Girls Gone Wild’ from Bajan wild head Hypa Dawg [bka Lil Rick] is one which I probably appreciate less and less these days (he had another tune, ‘Can’t Wait’, around the same time which I love more and more each and every time I hear it and should you be REALLY interested definitely look up his album . . . ”The Crave”, a couple of years back), but should I ever become less appreciative of what goes on in the video for this tune, then I’ll trust you as my readers to do something to get me the help I’ll need to recover (either that or put me out of my misery).

'Nookie' by Jamesy P

I knew I had to include this one in some kind of way and I most surprised that when I first cut it on, I found that despite not having heard Jamesy P’s ‘Nookie’ in quite some time, I’m still pretty tired of it (although listening to it RIGHT NOW and I don’t have many complaints about it)! The tune was a MAJOR hit a few years back for the veteran and the only thing standing in between it becoming a classic tune is time itself. And the same could (and is going to) be said about the video for the tune which featured a whole heap of very sexy and good looking people at random parties and checkpoints perused by Mr. P. Sure it’s kind of overdone (and I think intentionally so) and it’s kind of corny, but there’re spots in the video, even with that in mind, seeing curves everywhere you look . . . You just don’t care!

And lastly, what in the hell would a post like this on this blog be without a mention of Achis Reggae favourite Guyanese Queen of Soca, the sexy Shelly G. Like Ce’Cile, I could probably pick quite a few different videos from Shelly, but I chose 'Touch Meh' one and did so for one reason in particular. Of course Shelly is extremely attractive and a few of her friends are as well and the tourist in the blue shirt will always be the comical highlight of comical highlights, but what puts this video on this list is the PERCEIVED POTENTIAL of what might happen. Is it just me or does it feel like to you that at ANY MOMENT at all, FULL BLOWN SEX could just break out instantly watching this video??? The word I used was ‘pornish’ - The video is extremely pornish and now, having probably seen this thing . . . Oh I don’t know, three or four hundred times, I know what’s going to happen, but I STILL find myself thinking something else just might occur. And always, big respect and love to Ms. Shelly G.
