It's Sunday (or it will be by time you read this) so it's beautiful tunes. This week we have one veteran, another over-veteran whose been doing superb as of late and a newbie who is a friend of a friend of a blah blah blah. Move!

Alright! Opening honours this week goes to Susan from Zojak who has a tune, 'Free' by Jallanzo, with a bit of a backstory. She sent me this song from a . . . maybe a few months back and at the time I remember we were both impressed and at an absolute lost as to who it was. Well it turned out to be Jallanzo - I'd never REALLY dug into his debut album from last year, "Reggae Rockin Tonight", if I had I would have certainly known this tune because it's on the album too. And having listened to it a little while on, it's still quite nice and I guess I should go and have a deeper listen to the rest of the album again yeah.
Okayyyyyyyyy - Next in is Kyla from the Bahamas who, in some really really ridiculous way knows the person who recommends the next tune (I really couldn't keep track, but biggup Kyla for connecting it and apparently she also knows my Cousin which is . . . Yeah, too much of my business) (I digress). Anyway, Kyla said she's been reading a minute and she REALLY (to the tune of one long long email) agrees with me on the state of Vybz Kartel's really sad sounding Dancehall substitute these days. So, she rewinds the clock back to what has to be considered a modern classic for a Dancehall song, it's Kartel from the Good 2 Go Riddim from Don Corleon, with 'When Gyal Waan Buddy' (if you ah work stop work, if you ah study stop study!).

And lastly, with no further delay, you already know who said person was - It's the man of the moment Remmy. Remmy put us in touch with Jalena last week and she's been pushing MY REVIEW OF HER NEW ALBUM "THE JAM SESSIONS" all across the social networking . . . stuffs. Anyway, Remmy had to draw a Jalena tune this week (I simply wouldn't have accepted anything else) and he went with what is apparently a brand new tune for the album and for next season, 'In The VI'. So biggup Remmy this week, he will most certainly squander all of his good deed in . . . Oh maybe a few hours or so - probably by the time you read this - But it was magic this week and biggup Jalena, very very nice person.
As for me, I DEFINITELY had a nice tune when I started writing this thing, but I've well forgotten it. So that means that I have to continue to type and run through the back of my mind (as if the only thing on my mind isn't writing this damn Natural Black review for United Reggae) and it feels terrible. SEE! I remembered! Dammit! Okay, hopefully this isn't COMPLETELY new to you, but who cares if it is. It's Gumbae Culture with 'Principles of The East'. I was cleaning through the other drive (actually went and deleted (intentionally) about 30G of music and photos) and stumbled across this GEM of a tune. So check it, if you like (and you will) the album was called "Black Africa".
