'Charge Up' by Skinny Fabulous & Machel Montano [Directed by VJ Elite & Dwayne Nelson]
3x reigning Vincy Soca Monarch, Skinny Fabulous and Trini Soca supernova Machel Montano linked up last year to drop a remixed out version of what turned out to be the 2010 Vincy Soca Monarch winning tune, 'Duracell', by the name of 'Duracell Plus'. I liked the remix more than the original actually (which is very rare) and I thought it was definitely a winner. Apparently more than a few people agreed with me as several months later we now get a video for the tune, now named 'Charge Up' and given a slight remix to my ears. I LOVE IT! It's much better than the last video we saw from Skinny, for 'Leggo De Beast' and it's not far from Montano's big productions either, right on that level in fact. The major players are Skinny who spends the vast majority of the video having a great time and then we have Machel as the mad scientist and then there's the mischievous Bunny. We have EXCELLENT clips of Skinny mashing up stage at Miami Carnival, Machel causing chaos before the 'inevitable' showdown between Bunny and Skinny. Skinny starts off quite well before Bunny seemingly lands the KO shot, a kick to the head (Ernesto Hoost style). Skinny recovers and pursues the Bunny to resume the clash where eventually he knocks him off the crane with a well placed knee to the ass (Overeem style), thus destroying Bunny. A big tune, absolute MADNESS and a Rabbit kickboxing a sitting Soca Monarch. What more can you ask for???
