New from Turbulence & Mark Wonder!

Okay so, I was about to make this entire post about a big new single from our old enigmatic friend, Turbulence, but he's not the only one showing up this week with a piece of magic. For his part, however, Turbulence has linked up with Pandemic Records to deliver 'Hero'. What do I say for 'Hero'??? Okay, 'Hero' may just be the single best tune that I've heard from Turbulence in.... a decade? Fifteen years??? I'm not quite sure on the time (or what the other song would have been), but it is EXCELLENT!

"Disappointment, greet you every step you take

And the system just won't give you a break

About to lose it all - riding on the edge

You've reached your limit, no one's there to help

You're so clueless, di giddeon is so toough

BUT BEFORE YOU THROW IN THE TOWEL, JUST LOOK UP

Here HE comes to save the day

Trust in Jah to lead the way

Jah knows best

So every tongue haffi confess

I was down to zero

His Majesty is my hero

Binghi launch out!

Like a seed in di wilderness

Don't let dem tell wi no beast, yow mi ever blessed

None a dem can spoil mi joy nor mi happiness

How yuh fi curse when Jah blessings just ah manifest?

Gallang, go tell di Obeah man seh mi no fear flesh

CAUSE JAH LOVE AND JAH POWERS MEK MI FEAR-LESS

Tell mi seh you push mi down, I couldn't careless

Wi victorious!

Wi left dem inna pure stress!"

BOOM! The song also comes fully equipped with one SWEET one-drop serving as a lovely backdrop and Turbulence produces a masterpiece fully befitting someone of his supreme talent (....just wish that he would do this more often as is one of a very select group of individuals who is capable).

And then there's Mark Wonder - someone who has never and likely will never struggle with consistency at all. His new piece, 'Urgency', for Yutman Records from out of Germany is more of the standard excellence that his fans have come to expect and enjoy throughout his career. This social commentary is also just a very nice listen. You take a very impactful message and you blend it with a damn infectious sound and you get yet another big winner from Mark Wonder.
