Now this is just getting ridiculous. In case you have anything important to do on the 24th of March which is, WONDERFULLY, approaching soon; you may want to reschedule. If you're having a baby or dying or... doing anything else that may require all or most of your attention, you're going to have to put if off at least a day because each and every time we look up, that day just becomes sweeter and sweeter. The most recent big addition to a lineup which already includes hotly anticipated full albums from both Queen Omega and Anthony B now sees a SWEET voiced veteran return with his first album in quite some time as Clarendon native, Jahmali, is back with "Pleasant Place". This is an album I have been hearing about for at least a year (and it may be closer to two now, actually) and now it is finally set to come to fruition courtesy of one Roaring Ras Productions (whose [cool] name I believe I only know in regards to Jahmali's work). Just recently the project's third single, the delightfully old school licked 'Dancehall Avenger' released and it follows both the title track and 'On Repeat' as early glimpses of this "Pleasant Place".

Looking through the tracks on the album what definitely jumps out are two versions of Jahmali's classic 'El Shaddai' which is one of the greatest songs in modern Reggae history and a couple of familiar others such as 'Retribution', as well as 'House Of My Sojourn', which I have heard a very brief preview of and have been well looking forward to hearing the finished product.

You can join us in hearing not only the complete cut of 'House Of My Sojourn', but the entire "Pleasant Place" album when it joins the lot and releases on Friday, March 24th.....

but if you just ABSOLUTELY need more (because you're all kinds of greedy), then also releasing that day are a pair of EP's from looooooooooongtime Dancehall star, Elephant Man (Ele will be FORTY-EIGHT this year. WHAT THE HELL!), and the scalding Aza Lineage, "Cool Reminder" and "Kingston To Cali", respectively. The former arrives on the strength of its Notnice produced WOOLLY MAMMOTH title track; while Natty Megs and More Life Productions take care of business on "From Kingston To Cali" which is compilation of big tunes Lineage has done for the label (with a couple of new tunes as well) and is HOPEFULLY a taste of what is to come later this year in a bigger, more sating fashion (not completely sure if 'sating' is a word, but I'm going assume that it is and not even look it up).

Like I said: Clear your schedule.
