Okay so, last time we quickly mentioned an interesting fact that on the first of March this new year already set was a couple of albums from Exco Levi and Julian Marley in a move reminiscent of the 24th of March last year (when Queen Omega and Chezidek pushed what turned out to be my first and second favourite albums of the year, "Freedom Legacy" and "Never Stop", respectively), that day is getting more and more crowded as joining the lot is sweet singing young veteran, Romain Virgo, is back with VP Records for his latest creation, the cool-titled "The Gentle Man". Boasting production from the likes of Seani B and the legendary Don Corleon as well as a vocal group of collaborators which includes the incomparable King Of Fire, Capleton, "The Gentle Man" figures to be, at least on paper, one of the biggest Reggae releases of 2024... and, at least in my opinion, Virgo has always proven to live up to expectations. From the earliest of stages of his career, the singer has seemed to have a bit of a different 'air' about him and those who are mostly (or completely) deaf can hear the quality of his music.
For example, check the absolutely MAMMOTH 'Good Woman' which is carried by "The Gentle Man" and fans might also recognize other big, big efforts such as the infectious 'Switch You On' and the class personified 'Driver'.
I'm convinced, I don't need to hear much of this one to confirm it (still gonna listen to it though). Want a big album?? On the first of March, check out "The Gentle Man" by Romain Virgo and you will have your prize.
